(South Bend, Ind.) – Holladay Properties’ South Bend office has completed a renovation at the Gillespie Conference & Special Event Center, located at 53995 State Road 933 in South Bend. The project included updates to the pre-function space, restrooms, and the ballroom.
The pre-function space renovations include new wall coverings, freshpaint on the trim and doors, new drapes, new upholstered chairs and side tables, unique mirrors, new signage, and six new chandeliers with adjustable rings hung from two steel cables. Each chandelier was creatively configured so no one is alike. The restrooms also received new wall coverings and a fresh paint. A 65” TV will also be installed in the pre-function space to advertise the Gillespie Center and can be customized to display photos during events.
The main ballroom space updates include new wall coverings, fresh paint on the trim and doors, removal of the old ceiling cove wallpaper, which was replaced paint in a contrasting color. The ballroom also received new motorized drapes, black out roller shades, new Crestron control screens, and new signage. Holladay will also be updating the general down lighting and light cove lighting to LED.
Lauren Quiett, Project Designer, designed and coordinated the Gillespie Center improvements for Holladay. David Albers and Mike McGee with HCG managed the renovation, which was completed in just two weeks. The facilities staff at the Hilton Garden Inn and The Inn at Saint Mary’s also helped during construction. Audio/Visual improvements are being performed by AVI.
