(Portage, IN) – As part of its 100 Acts of Kindness Challenge, the Portage Office adopted and Angel Tree child through Housing Opportunities, a community-sustained nonprofit that resolves and prevents homelessness for adults, children, and seniors in Porter and LaPorte counties. The Portage team pulled together and gave generously, collecting nearly $400 to provide a great Christmas for a 12-year-old boy in the community. Michelle Mosier and Jessica Vargas led the charge for this Act of Kindness and used the donations to purchase gifts for the child, including a fishing pole and gear, a scooter and helmet, hats and gloves, a warm blanket, and gift cards.
