This Valentine’s Day season, The Inn at Saint Mary’s transforms into a captivating realm of romance and enchantment with the display of the World’s Tallest Valentine’s Tree. Nestled at the South Bend/Notre Dame entrance to the Indiana Toll Road (Exit 77) in St. Joseph County, this towering symbol of love and celebration stands at an impressive height, reaching 87 feet. Adorned with a spectacular array of vibrant Valentine’s decorations, the tree becomes a luminous beacon that casts a warm and festive welcome to the City of South Bend throughout the romantic season. Visitors and guests are invited to immerse themselves in the magical ambiance created by this extraordinary display, making The Inn at Saint Mary’s a destination where love truly takes center stage during Valentine’s Day.
The tree is decked with 62 lighted heart ornaments, 150 pink, silver, gold, and red ball ornaments, and is dazzled with bright and soft white lights. The 87-foot-tall pine tree was donated by residents of South Bend near W Pokagon St. and was cut, lifted by two cranes, placed on a semi-truck, and placed into the foundation. The tree weighs 18,000 lbs. with a foundation that goes down 12 feet deep.
The World’s Largest Valentine’s Tree lighting ceremony will be heldheld on February 1, at 6:00 PM ET, complete with a lovely, towering tree.
A vision of John Phair, Chairman & Director of Asset Management of Holladay Hospitality Group, the tree will be the first sight seen by most visitors coming into South Bend until mid-February.
