AmeriPlex at the Port: Putting Portage on the map for 15 years
The Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce held their annual Recognition Ceremony, the Chamber’s way of spotlighting members of the Portage community who have had a positive impact in their field and are making a difference in the community. The ceremony was held on November 7th and 10 employees from the Holladay Properties Northwest Indiana Headquarters were in attendance to watch Tim Healy accept the “Putting Portage on the Map” award for the AmeriPlex at the Port development.
Since the beginning, AmeriPlex at the Port has seen over $165 million in construction since 2000 and the development of 28 buildings. 82% of the land has been developed or sold and only 70 acres remain to be developed. In addition, AmeriPlex at the Port is now home to 53 businesses and thousands of employees. Growth at AmeriPlex has been responsible for nearly 4,000 new jobs in Portage since 2000 (see chart above).
The employees of Holladay’s Portage office have been hard at work for over 15 years to bring success to AmeriPlex at the Port and this award from the Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce is definitely appreciated.
