Holladay Properties joined local officials for a sneak peek of the Northern Virginia Bioscience Center, currently under construction at Innovation Park in Manassas, VA, on October 7. The 30,000 square foot wet lab research facility will feature 15 individually furnished and equipped labs designed to handle research into cancer causing agents, Lyme disease, pharmaceutical delivery, and other non-bio hazard studies.

Holladay's new facility will be the first of its kind in Prince William County and generated a lot of interest at the event, which was was held in the parking lot of the building directly across the street from the new facility. The event was coordinated by Aaron Gambini and Matt Brady of Scheer Partners, the brokerage firm in charge of leasing the new facility.

Christina Wynn, executive director of the county’s Department of Economic Development,  the local Supervisor Jeanine Lawson, and Austin Haynes of Holladay Properties each spoke at the event, which also featured a venture capitalist as a keynote speaker.

With the exception of the keynote speaker, everything was focused on the new lab. The facility is about half leased already and some of the new tenants came to the event, as well as interested parties who wanted to learn more.

"We had about 80 researchers and scientists in attendance," said Haynes. "We gave several presentations and hard hat tours of the lab and it was really a great event!"

According to Haynes, tenants will begin moving in equipment around the end of the year and the facility is expected to open by February 1, 2022. Several suites remain available, ranging from 395 square feet to 5,660 square feet. For leasing details, visit LoopNet.com.
