Holladay Properties Opens Coastal Full-Service Real Estate Office in Savannah
New Office Seeks to Capitalize on Industrial Real Estate Boom in Major Port Cities

Holladay Properties has opened a new Coastal office in Savannah, GA, the real estate company’s 8th major development office nationwide. The new office will give Holladay Properties a continuous real estate presence along the east coast from Richmond to Orlando and will also serve the Charleston and Jacksonville markets.

Led by Senior Vice President Matthew Kuykendall, the new Holladay Properties office was established to capitalize on the industrial real estate boom currently occurring in major port cities along the east coast. “Coastal industrial markets continue to experience rapid growth and high absorption rates, which paired with a long-term population growth trend, creates a positive outlook for sustained real estate growth in the region. Industrial markets along the Southeastern corridor have maintained near record-low vacancy rates and show strong support for continued demand due to the increasing trade volume of and growth surrounding three of the largest ports in the US,” said Kuykendall.

Holladay Properties is one of the leading real estate companies in the US and owns $900 million in assets across all real estate classes, as well as manages 240 properties totaling 10 million square feet with a combined asset value of $3 billion. In addition to Holladay Properties’ economic impact, the company encourages an elevated level of local community engagement.

Previously, Kuykendall worked for Holladay Properties in Nashville (2016-2019) where he led the early phase development of the Airport Logistics Park Project which included 425,000 square feet of flex-industrial buildings. Upon moving to Savannah in 2019, Kuykendall worked for Chesterfield LLC where he was the primary developer of the Georgia International Trade Center, which featured 7.7 million square feet spread across 9 buildings in just four years. When the opportunity to return to Holladay Properties to lead the new Coastal office presented itself, Kuykendall jumped at the chance.

“Matt’s experience and passion for the real estate industry is a great fit to continue Holladay’s expansion in the Southeast. We have spent the last several years developing offices that bookend this corridor from Richmond to Central Florida. It is a great opportunity for us to bring Matt back into the Holladay family and fill the center of this corridor with a strong leader,” said Allen Arender, Holladay’s Chief Development Officer based in Nashville.

Deeply invested in his local community, Kuykendall also started a local Young Real Estate Professionals group in Savannah and is eager to leverage Holladay Properties’ established community investment initiatives to further serve the Savannah community.
