Holladay Properties is pleased to announce that Prairie Food Co-op has signed a lease to occupy approximately 10,000 square feet at the Lilac Station mixed-use development in Lombard, IL. The Co-op, to be located at 109 South Main Street will be adjacent to Holladay's four-story, 118-unit luxury residential community expected to break ground this Spring.
The store will offer a wide variety of products with an emphasis on locally, sustainably produced goods. The Co-op will also have an outdoor patio that can potentially be used for a seasonal café, community gathering space with local music, and classes.
"We are extremely pleased to be working with Prairie Food Co-op on their new space at Lilac Station," said Drew Mitchell, VP of Development for Holladay Properties. "Our vision for this project since we originally met with the Village of Lombard has been to include the Co-op and it's such a thrill to see that vision come to fruition."
Construction is expected to begin Spring 2021 and the Co-op building is expected to be completed by July 2022 with the store opening six to eight months later.
