Holladay introduces Vine Street Station a new, planned development, at Hinsdale neighborhood meeting

Holladay’s Chicagoland office held a neighborhood meeting for a proposed new project in Hinsdale, IL last night. Vine Street Station seeks to transform the former Zion Lutheran Early Childhood Education Center into 12 condos, while preserving the historic elements of the building, which was built in 1930.

The meeting welcomed nearby residents as Drew Mitchell, Partner & VP-Development for Holladay Properties, and Chris Walsh, an Architect with Tandem Architecture, walked them through the project, listened to their comments, and answered their questions. Holladay wanted to gather feedback on desired features of planned community pocket parks.

At the end of the night, the reception from the community was favorable. Holladay passed out surveys and 100% of the respondents expressed support for the project, and the Zion Lutheran Church, which is located across the street, expressed their support for the plans as well. The Chicagoland team intends to proceed with Hinsdale’s submittal process and present Vine Street Station to the Village Board in the coming months.
