Jeff Howell is a Director of Engineering with Holladay Properties’ Nashville, TN office. He has been with the company since March 29, 2010. Get to know Jeff in this February 2020 interview.
Q: What do you like most about working for Holladay Properties?
Jeff: The people.
Q: Before working at Holladay, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
Jeff: I floated a logger around swamps in an amphibious ATV and blew up beaver dams with dynamite.
Q: Where is your hometown?
Jeff: I tell people Kosciusko because on one has ever heard of Thomastown, MS.
Q: What did you want to be when growing up?
Jeff: Fighter pilot/astronaut.
Q: Favorite vacation destination?
Jeff: Hawaii was awesome.
Q: What is your biggest pet peeve?
Jeff: People who take advantage of others, liars, and bad drivers
Q: What is on your bucket list?
Jeff: Scuba dive the Great Barrier Reef, moto across New Zealand, fly an F4 corsair, see the northern lights, spectate an Isle of Man TT race, take a cross country motorcycle trip, check out a medieval castle, ride a polar bear.
Q: People would be surprised to know what?
Jeff: I was a first lieutenant/squadron commander in an auxiliary of the air force. I had letters of recommendation from my governor and state senator to apply to the air force academy, but abandoned it all to pursue mechanical engineering instead.
