Holladay Properties, Schahet Hotels, and the City of Westfield are pleased to announce that a new Hampton Inn by Hilton will be built near the US 31 and SR 32 interchange off of Westfield Park Road near the Westfield Business District.
“The new US 31 project combined with the success of Grand Park has transformed Westfield’s economic structure,” said Mayor Andy Cook. “Last year there were nearly 62,000 hotel room nights booked in central Indiana because of Grand Park. Developments like this Hampton Inn will be able to keep some of those visitor dollars in Westfield.”
Scheduled to open in the spring 2017, the $12.2 million, four-story Hampton Inn will feature 93 guest rooms. Additional features include as an outdoor patio with fire pit and a spacious indoor swimming pool.
“We are honored to partner with Hilton Worldwide in bringing the Hampton Inn franchise to Westfield”, said Chris Wilkes, Partner and SVP Development for Holladay Properties. “With Westfield’s ever expanding corporate base, along with the hotel’s location along the new US 31, we feel that this hotel is well positioned to service the key business travel segment. Additionally, this Hampton Inn will benefit strongly from the significant travel and tourism activity generated by Grand Park.”
The project is a joint venture of Holladay Properties and Schahet Hotels, Inc. (SHI). Holladay will be leading the design and development of the new hotel while SHI will manage the hotel once complete.
“We are excited to be partnering with Holladay Properties on this great project, and we look forward to becoming a part of the vibrant Westfield community,” said Greg Schahet, SHI’s President and CFO.
Holladay Construction Group will be serving as the General Contractor during the construction period. A groundbreaking for the hotel was held on May 18, 2016.
