The Indiana India Business Council (IIBC) selected David W. Holt, Senior Vice President, Development and Community Affairs for Holladay Properties, to its board of directors during their quarterly board meeting on Tuesday, January 21, 2020. The IIBC is membership-based organization dedicated to strengthening business relations between Indiana and India.
“We are excited to welcome David Holt to our board of directors. He brings decades of leadership in key areas, such as operations, business development and strategy implementation, that are vital to our future operations and strategy,” said Raju Chinthala, Founder and President of IIBC.
Holt’s board appointment is for 2020-2021 and he joins a prestigious list of directors, including Greg Ballard, Retired Mayor City of Indianapolis; Seema Parkishak Verma, Partner for BGBC Advisors; Dr. Raj Acharya, Dean of the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indiana University; Heidi Arola, Managing Director of Global Partnerships for Purdue University; Martin Baier, President and Chief Executive Officer of the International Center; Bobbi Bosch, Vice President, Marketing and Development for Christel House International; Richard Cardwell, Vice President & Head of Midwest Region for Infosys; Nate Feltman, Owner of the Indianapolis Business Journal; Jane Gehlhausen, President of Indiana Sister Cities Council; Skrikanth Kanakam, General Manager of Axiscades; John McDonald, CEO, Chairman and President of Clear Object; Bharat Patel, Chairman and CEO for Sun Development; Melissa Proffitt Reese, Office Managing Partner for Ice Miller; Dr. Aarti Shah, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Eli Lilly; Dennis Trinkle, Director of the Center for Information and Communications Sciences and Director of the Applied Research Institute at Ball State University; and Haresh Gangwani, Executive Vice President, Global Alliances of Intradiem. Holladay Properties is a commercial real estate development and property management firm based in South Bend, Indiana with offices across the country. In his role at Holladay, Holt is responsible for the development of in the industrial portfolio for AmeriPlex, the industrial development south of I-70 by the Indianapolis Airport; and World Connect @ IND, assisting the Indianapolis Airport Authority in the development of certain land parcel. He also manages government affairs, community relations and trade association activities for Holladay.
Holt previously served as Vice President of Operations and Business Development for Conexus Indiana, and as the Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s Vice-President of Health Care/Education Policy and Federal Relations. Holt’s professional career has also included service in Washington DC as Chief of Staff in the Office of Vocational and Adult Education at the U.S. Department of Education and a Senior Legislative Aide to a U.S. Representative on Capitol Hill.
With a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, Holt serves on numerous boards and advisory committees including the Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis; Greater Indianapolis Foreign Trade Zone Board 72, the Indiana Builders Association, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, the Indiana Restaurant and Hospitality Association, and the Mid-State Corridor Coalition.
