Jamill Shaw is the Lead Line Cook at Burger Theory, a restaurant in the Holiday Inn Indianapolis Airport hotel. He was nominated for and won the Restaurant Employee of the Year: Back of the House award at the Indiana Restaurant and Lodging Association 2018 Stars of the Industry event on November 14. The awards recognize Hospitality staff from the entire State of Indiana.
Mr. Shaw has worked at Burger Theory since 2015 and has been an invaluable member of the team. He has stepped up time and again to assist with large catering functions, cover vacation time for his co-workers, and pick up days when the restaurant was running short on staff.
As of November 2018, Burger Theory was ranked #1 of 1,858 restaurant in Indianapolis on TripAdvisor and his supervisors credit Jamill and his culinary skills as the reason why the restaurant and hotel exceeds guest expectations daily.
