Jack Welch, former CEO of GE, once said said, “It goes without saying that no company, small or large, can win over the long run without energized employees who believe in the mission and understand how to achieve it.”

At Holladay Properties, we know that our associates are the driving force behind our mission, vision and values. We also know that we have some of the best associates anyone could ask for.

In this second edition of “The Greatest Employees” blog series, we hear from people both within Holladay and outside of it about the associates that help us live up to our mission of…

Maureen Johnson, HR Director (South Bend, IN) always has a smile, she maintains a positive attitude, and is a great listener.”

“I just wanted to write a short note to let you know that Roberto [Jiminez, Engineer (Miami-Mercy,FL)] goes above and beyond the call of duty. He wears many hats at the property. He can change tiles, lighting, fix water leaks, plumbing issues, help with door jams. Whenever we have an issue he responds right away. If he can’t resolve the matter he points us in the right direction. He works very hard when he is here working with the contractors, painters, vendors and tenants. We are so very lucky to have such a talented ‘superman’ on our campus.”

Thomas J. Zaydon, Jr. M.D., Mercy Hospital Professional Building (Miami, FL)

“Jeff Arthur, SVP of Hospitality (South Bend, IN) comes to mind. He is incredibly loyal and bleeds Holladay as part of his everyday mission. He is patient, supportive, and a great role model for anyone new to Holladay.”

“Lori Kappel, Project Designer (LaGrange, IL) is one of the hardest working people I know. She is organized, consistent, methodical, and a creative genius. Lori is a pleasure to work with because she truly cares. Thank you Lori!”

Shasta Kreighbaum, Residential Senior Property Manager (South Bend, IN) goes above and beyond to learn, and to support all of us in the multi-family property management department. If Shasta doesn’t know the answer to something, she will find it! I can always count on Shasta.

–  Cara Pagels, Property Manager – Burlington Station (Downers Grove, IL)

“The Portage Office is a great office to work in with amazing associates so a shout out to all; however a special shout-out to Ryan Kelly, VP Planning & Design, and Jessica Vargas, Project Architect, for all their assistance and help this past year as I was the new employee. They are amazing to work with and I felt part of the team from day one! Their willingness to stop what they are doing and help in any way is much appreciated and deserves a ”˜thank you’ and a special shout out!!

–  Laura Small, Project Architect (Portage, IN)

“Jayme Dyer, has helped me endlessly and all with a smile and sweetest accent I could hope for. She never let me feel like I was bothering her or taking her away from something.”

“I’d like to give kudos to Michelle Mosier, Office Manager (Portage, IN). She supports an entire office of people, as well as Holladay’s President & CEO, and she’s always calm and collected, and gets any job done. She goes out of her way to make things easier for others and has an infectious smile and great sense of humor.”

–  Amanda Watson, Marketing Director (Portage, IN)

“I’d really like to give a shout-out to our maintenance techs over at Centennial: John Ledsinger, Maintenance Supervisor, Paul Carr, Engineer, Andy Rank, Engineer, and Marvin Anderson, Engineer, (Nashville, TN). Not only were they hardworking throughout life before Covid, but once the quarantine began, they didn’t complain about having to show up under the conditions they were facing. It’s been a struggle with all of the PPE required, changes to schedules, and how they’ve had to get in and out of suites throughout the day, but they’ve carried more than their normal share of weight and learned to adapt as we move through the unknown. They’ve been there every time I’ve called over the last five months in a bind because of Covid-19 related issues, willing to jump in. It’s a really unique feeling to know that you’ve got four guys who will stand up to the plate, even during a pandemic. But Paul, John, Andy and Marvin have kept our campus safe and sound. Thank you!”
