Demolition underway for Quincy Station in Westmont

Holladay Properties has begun demolition of 7 W. Quincy, and 14 and 20 S. Cass Avenue in Westmont, IL .The demolition is the first phase of construction for the Quincy Station mixed-use multi-family residential development.

Quincy Station will create an artistic landmark and community gathering destination while setting a new standard for residential living in the heart of Downtown Westmont. The development will provide additional benefit via the introduction of significant, new disposable income, further enhancing the historic Downtown’s vibrancy and vitality.

“We are beyond excited about the Quincy Station development, which will include a comfortable lobby area for residents and visitors while providing concierge style services, including placing restaurant reservations, handling visitor parking arrangements, on-site package handling, and business center services for residents and guests of Quincy Station,” said Drew Mitchell, Project Manager and a Partner with Holladay Properties.  In addition, we intend to attract a high-quality restaurant destination in the 3,700 SF ground floor space fronting Quincy Street and Cass Avenue.”

Quincy Station will include 94 luxury residential apartment units designed to provide a variety of living spaces suitable for a broad spectrum of residents. Residents of Quincy Station can enjoy a walkable environment with access to local downtown Westmont restaurants and shopping as well as to City amenities available by way of a short train ride to downtown Chicago.

“The ground floor lobby area of the building will include active uses such as a business center, package handling, leasing concierge, coffee bar, and an inviting gathering space” said Mitchell. “In addition, the building features a penthouse clubroom, fitness center, and outdoor rooftop amenity deck with fire features and outdoor televisions.  Fronting Quincy Street, the development offers an incredible restaurant opportunity with outdoor colonnade seating fronting Quincy Street & facing the Metra Station.”

Holladay Construction Group, LLC (HCG) has begun the demolition phase of the project, which is expected to be completed in December. In addition to HCG, the project team includes Tandem Architecture as the project architect, CivWorks Consulting, LLC as the civil engineer, Pierce Engineering as the structural engineer, and SEEG Group as the MEP engineer.
