On September 20, SIOR Western Missouri/Kansas Chapter Development Day was held at Union Station in Kansas City, MO. It is the one night a year when everyone involved in Kansas City commercial real estate gathers in one room, and Holladay was there.

“The event was a great turn out—it was very crowded, and Holladay’s booth looked fantastic thanks to the amazing talents of Tracy Francis, Director of Brokerage Services,” exclaimed Kirsten Adams, Director of Property Management-Midwest. “This was Holladay’s first public networking event of this type in Kansas City and it certainly helped to generate a positive introduction to the area’s real estate and development community.”

Holladay was one of the more than 80 exhibitors representing commercial real estate and development professionals serving the Kansas City metro area and the Midwest. The event focuses on networking, highlighting new projects, and remembering why this industry is so great.

“The Holladay booth included a BBQ Grill giveaway, which created quite a buzz,” Adams said. “Participants had to guess how many ”˜steaks’ were in a jar and write their guess on their business card to enter. Whomever came closest got the grill. Ray Martin of Prairie Life Investments won, and he was thrilled! Big thanks goes out to Bennett Hughes, Building Maintenance Engineer (Kansas City, MO), and Fred Scott, Director of Engineering (Nashville, TN), for transporting and assembling the grill.”

Holladay was represented at the event by Ms. Adams; Mr. Hughes; Mr. Scott; Chad DeRossett, Director of Brokerage Services (Nashville, TN); Jeff Ottman, EVP-Operations (Nashville, TN); Ken Whitaker, SVP-Healthcare and Capital Management (Nashville, TN); and Sara Madson, Property Manager (Kansas City, MO).

“It was a very well attended event with the Who’s Who in Commercial Real Estate for the KC area,” DeRossett said.

John Stacy of Reece Commercial Real Estate was chairperson of the 2018 SIOR Development Day; Holladay and Reece have a partnership to provide real estate services in that metro area.
