Indianapolis team selected as development partner for West Fork Whiskey Co.
Holladay Properties has been selected as a development partner in a new 35,000 square foot agritourism facility for West Fork Whiskey Co., an Indianapolis-based craft whiskey distillery, in Westfield, IN. The project is expected to break ground in Spring 2021 with Holladay Construction Group serving as the general contractor.
“We started working on this project in June and we are thrilled to be a part of team bringing this project to fruition,” said Chase Smith, VP Development for Holladay Properties. “We were connected to the principals at West Fork due to our extensive experience in Westfield and the variety of project types we have developed in the past.”
West Fork Whiskey Co. is expected to invest $10 million to construct and equip the new facility on the northeast corner of 191 Street and Horton Road. The property is located on a 12-acre site across from Grand Park and will include a 5,000 square foot event center in addition to a restaurant, cocktail lounge, speakeasy, and space for whiskey aging and production.
“We built Grand Park to create a commercial tax base and when companies, like West Fork, decide to invest here, it shows this strategy is working for our city,” said Mayor Andy Cook. “We want innovative and community-minded companies, like West Fork, to bring their energy to Westfield. I am excited that they want to grow roots here.”
West Fork Whiskey Co. was founded in 2015 by Indiana natives Blake Jones, David McIntyre and Julian Jones. The company distills and produces craft whiskeys using ingredients that are completely sourced in Indiana. West Fork was also responsible for reviving Old Hamer, a historic Indiana whiskey brand, in 2019.
