The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Fort Lauderdale and the Palm Beaches announced the winners of the prestigious “The Outstanding Building of the Year” (TOBY) awards at a ceremony on Friday, November 7.
The HCP-owned Westside Medical Arts Building, which is managed by Holladay Properties, earned top honors in the medical category for the second year in a row. The facility competed against a total of six other medical office properties in the area. It all came down to five buildings, two of which were Holladay Properties’ managed facilities.
Property Manager Jacqueline Fermin was also awarded a Ron Macklin Scholarship Award for continuing her education, which she will use to obtain her BOMI HP High Performance Sustainability designation in 2015.
“Both of these wins are an honor and a blessing to receive,” Fermin said. “I am thankful for my amazing team, my wonderful company and my remarkable Owner! We have an extraordinary, energetic group that work well as a team. This kind of nonstop synergy will surely provide continuous success to us, our management company and our owner HCP.”
The Westside Medical Arts Building will be entered into the BOMA International Southern Region TOBY’s set for March 2015, where it will compete again another Holladay Properties’ managed facility, the Bayfront Medical Plaza in Tampa Bay, FL.
